Visiting ophthalmologists: ‘observers’.

At IMO Grupo Miranza Barcelona, we welcome numerous ophthalmologists each year who come to our operating rooms as “observers,” learning from our experts in one or more specialties.

During their stay at the clinic, visiting ophthalmologists have the opportunity to meet the facilities of the clinic’s Barcelona headquarters, with the aim of deepening their knowledge of a surgical procedure or technique by observing our team members during surgeries.

The observer may also have access to our experimental laboratory (Wet Lab) and practice with porcine eyes, if desired.

The surgical observation schedule is subject to the availability of our team members and the clinic’s surgical area. You can check for available spots by sending an email to: secretaria.docencia@imo.es

This program, called Observership, is reserved for qualified ophthalmologists and does not include participation in the center’s clinical practice or access to consultation areas. Observers will not be permitted to participate in surgeries.
