IMO Miranza Group Barcelona has been awarded the Joint Commission International ® (JCI) gold seal for Accreditation of Ambulatory Care, showing its ongoing meeting of international recognised standards regarding quality and patient care and safety. The seal, which the Institute in Barcelona obtained for the first time in 2017, has been renewed following a strict assessment process by JCI experts on 30th November and 1st and 2nd December.
IMO Miranza Group Barcelona is the only specialist ophthalmology centre accredited by the JCI in Spain, and one of 5 in Europe.
What is the Joint Commission International?
The Joint Commission International is the most recognised global leader in healthcare quality and safety. Over one thousand healthcare organisations are certified by the JCI, ranging from academic medical centres to hospitals or ambulatory centres. JCI also advises medical centres, and public health agencies and ministries in over 100 countries, as well as international organisations such as the WHO.
JCI: a recognised symbol in healthcar
The prestigious quality accreditation of the Joint Commission International measures the meeting of international ambulatory care standards related to different areas, including patient safety, patient assessment and care, anaesthesia and surgical care, improvement, prevention and control of infections, governance and leadership, facility management, staff qualifications and education, and management of information.
Re-accrediting the JCI gold seal provides confirmation that IMO Miranza Group Barcelona continues to work towards offering the highest quality and safety in patient care, even during these adverse times. This is only possible with team work and enthusiasm.
