What does it involve?
The endoscopic brow lift involves raising the eyebrows with the endoscopic technique by means of micro-incisions in the scalp.
When is it carried out?
It is indicated for severe cases of eyebrow ptosis. It can also be combined with upper blepharoplasty surgery for a better aesthetic result.
A comprehensive eye and eyelid examination is required. About a week before surgery, in order to achieve a better result, botulinum toxin should be applied to the forehead region to relax the eyebrow muscles.
Before the surgery
Patients should not take anticoagulants or aspirin before surgery.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and sedation.
In some cases, paraesthesia (a feeling of tingling or numbness) can occur in the forehead region, which is resolved spontaneously.
