Eye disease prevention campaigns

We understand that medical excellence in ophthalmology requires exacting standards in treatment, training and research, as well as in promoting awareness and prevention of diseases.
The twentieth century marked a great leap forward in the early detection of major eye diseases. The information society enables us to be permanently kept informed of the latest developments. Advances in ophthalmology are no longer only aimed at curing diseases, but also at actively involving the patient in prevention.

“Prevention is essential, and the patient plays a crucial role in it, especially in those diseases whose symptoms appear only after severe damage has been done.”
