What does it involve?
Endocyclophotocoagulation with diode laser is a surgical procedure that is similar to the previous one.
When is it carried out?
It is normally used to treat glaucoma when drainage surgery is not possible or the patient has low vision.
Prior examination
Comprehensive eye examination.
Surgery
Surgery involves directly applying a laser to the ciliary body, after making an incision in the eye and by means of an endoscopic probe. The advantage of this surgery over transscleral cyclophotocoagulation is that the procedure can be viewed throughout.
Precautions
No risks or special precautions need to be taken into account.
