She is an expert on contact lenses and infectious diseases of the ocular surface.

Professional activities

Since 1994 she has practised ophthalmology in the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Department of the Retina/Vitreous Centre at Clínica Quirón, Barcelona) and later at the IMO as part of Dr Güell’s team.

Research

She is also co-researcher in clinical trials in intraocular lenses carried out at the IMO. She has been co-researcher in numerous clinical trials (principal researcher: Dr J. L. Güell):

Artiflex (Ophthec). Phakic intraocular lens. Since 2002.
Tecnis lens (Pharmacia). Pseudophakic IOL. 2003.
LAL (Calhoun): Pseudophakic light-adjustable lens. Since 2006.
IOL (Corneal): Pseudophakic aspherical lens. Since 2006.

She has published numerous articles in national and international ophthalmology journals.
