Specialisation
Paediatric ophthalmology and neurophthalmology. Dr Visa is an expert on the diagnosis and treatment of oculomuscular disorders. He specialises in strabismus surgery in children and adults. He works in paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus in children and adults and neurophthalmology.
Professional activities
He was head of the Ophthalmology Department of Catalonia General Hospital from 1990 to 2001. He is currently head of the Ophthalmology Department of Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell.
He has been coordinator of the Children’s Ophthalmology Department of Stauros Children’s Clinic since 1994. He is the ophthalmologist responsible for strabologic pathology of the IMO (the Ocular Microsurgery Institute of Barcelona). He has presented numerous papers at various conferences on ophthalmology and has lectured on several courses on oculomotor pathology and children’s ophthalmic pathology aimed at ophthalmologists and paediatricians.
Research
He has participated in multi-centre studies on children’s cataract surgery.

He has published several papers on paediatric ophthalmology, child and adult strabismus and neurophthalmology in national and international journals. He is co-author of two books on strabismus. He has written chapters in books:
